Self Defense
In communities where violence, abuse, and poverty threaten the safety and confidence of young people, especially girls and young women, OneHopeChildren provides proactive, youth-centered programs that foster both protection and empowerment. These initiatives use sports and self-defense training as tools to build strength, dignity, and resilience. By equipping youth with the skills to protect themselves and others, these programs cultivate confidence, unity, and hope for safer communities.
In response to rising insecurity, Self-Defense Clubs have been established in secondary schools across 17 districts in Enugu State, training over 1,000 students in martial arts, abuse recognition, and legal awareness.
